Jan 27th 2012 : Field Support Engineer (International)

Robertson Geologging Ltd. seeks a capable engineer or geophysicist to join our field
service team providing technical support and training courses for users of our wireline logging equipment, worldwide. Based in Deganwy on the outskirts of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales , the position involves frequent overseas travel to client's jobsites, with trips lasting typically 5-10 days.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or similar qualification in electronics or geophysics and a minimum of two years experience in wireline logging or similar field measurements. They will need to demonstrate practical mechanical and electronic skills and be able to work and solve problems independently. A liking for travel is essential as is an outgoing personality and the ability to adapt easily to different cultures and backgrounds. Candidates require a full UK driving licence held for at least one year.

Jan 27th 2012 : Software Developer

We are looking for an experienced C++ programmer with an MFC and .Net background to join the development team at our North Wales headquarters. The principle task will be the further development of legacy data acquisition and display software to meet the requirements of new oilfield tools we have recently brought to market. You will be responsible for writing and documenting maintainable code and for testing and support after release.

Our ideal candidate will possess a good degree in computing science or similar and have a minimum of three years employment programming in a commercial environment. However, we may relax these requirements for an exceptional candidate who can demonstrate equivalent experience. Candidates will need to be motivated and must be able to plan and schedule their own work with minimal supervision. An interest in geology or geophysics would be a strong advantage.
